We’re poud to officially make Timetotweet.com our new blog for Twitterscripts.net!

Twitterscripts.net

Why ?

Simple. Timetotweet is aimed primarily at webmasters about Twitter news and updates, so the addition of updates of the #1 Twitter scripts and app store made perfect sense!

We’re now going to release a new app onto the main site so take a look in a few minutes to check it out!

Thanks for reading,

James

I came across a great Twitter application today called TweetBoard. The script lets you add a mini forum to your website by pulling data from Twitter.

As you can see from the image beow, the ‘micro-forum’ is hidden at the left hand side of the site and comes out when the user selects it.

At the moment they are auto-approving all requests to test the alpha version of the software. All you need to do is make a request via this page. Alternatively, you can make a request directly via Twitter by just tweeting this message (replace link with your URL) :

Requesting an invite for Tweetboard Alpha (http://tweetboard.com) by @140ware, for my site: http://ReplaceWithYourURL.com

I have requested an invite to use the script on Blogging Tips. I’ll do a longer post about it once I have it up and running. Until then, take a look at the video below to see the script in action :)

A new application has been released in the Apple istore called Duo, which is claiming to be the fastest way to update Twitter (and FaceBook too) on your iPhone.

From the video below, it looks like it’s not a fully functional Twitter app i.e. it’s not a script you will use to check @replies or direct messages, it simply allows you to update your status. However, when you are on the move and are rushed for time, I’m sure many of you are just looking to update your status rather than check your replies etc.

John Chow posted about a great script the other day called SpreadTweet. It was designed for Twitter addicts who work in offices and want to keep using Twitter without getting caught.

SpreadSheet is a Desktop Twitter client disguised as a spreadsheet. You can choose to have the prgoram resemble any of the following programs :

  • Office OSX
  • Office 2003 (Windows)
  • Office 2007 (Windows)

The script uses Adobe Air but for those who don’t want to install the script to their computer, there is also a web based version of the script.

I’m sure those of you who work in an office will find this script incredibly useful :)

Do you have a Nintendo DS? If so, you might be happy to hear that someone has made a script so that you can use Twitter between games.

By the sounds of it the script is still quite buggy but it’s supposed to be pretty good. Worth checking out if you use the DS frequently :)
